Renault Nissan India Launches 2026—Five New Cars Coming [Full Lineup]

Renault and Nissan are gearing up for a product onslaught in India. After years of sitting mostly quiet, both brands are rolling out five new vehicles between now and the end of 2027. The lineup includes MPVs, SUVs, and three-row family haulers.

Nissan Gravite Kicks Things Off This Month

Nissan’s starting January with the Gravite, a rebadged Renault Triber. It’s entering the sub-4 meter MPV space where the Triber currently sits alone. Expect a beefier grille, sharper bumpers, and block lettering on the hood. Inside? Probably similar to the Triber. Same engine options too. It’s badge engineering, but it gives Nissan a foothold in a segment with zero competition right now.

Third-Gen Duster Arrives In February

The real headline is the all-new Duster. It debuts January 26 and should hit showrooms by February. Built on Renault’s CMF-B LS platform, this one’s a legitimate upgrade over the old model. The international version already exists, but India gets tweaked styling, unique LED elements, and likely ventilated front seats.

Power comes from 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engines. A hybrid variant is planned for early next year. This matters because the Duster name still carries weight in India. People remember the first-gen model. If Renault prices this right, it could shake up the crowded compact SUV segment.

Nissan Tekton Follows In March

The Tekton is Nissan’s version of the new Duster. It gets revealed next month with a sharper nose inspired by the new Patrol. The interior will probably mirror the Duster closely. Same engines. Launch expected around March. Hybrid option coming in Q2 2027.

Here’s the thing. Badge engineering works when brands are struggling for volume. Nissan hasn’t had a hit in India for years. The X-Trail flopped because of pricing. The Tekton gives them a fresh shot without starting from scratch.

Three-Row Versions Land Later This Year

Between October and December, Renault drops a seven-seat Duster. It’ll get features the five-seater won’t, including 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, and a 10-inch digital cluster. Possibly two-tone paint as well. The 1.3-liter turbo petrol will be standard, with a hybrid following in 2027.

Nissan’s three-row SUV comes roughly a month after Renault’s. Same deal. Different front end, shared everything else.

Which One Will Sell Best?

The new Duster has the strongest chance. The nameplate has history here. People cross-shopped it against the Creta and Seltos back in the day. If Renault slots it between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 16 lakh, it could move serious volume. The hybrid variant will be key. Fuel economy matters in India, and strong hybrids are still rare in this price bracket.

The Gravite might surprise. The Triber sold decently despite limited marketing. A Nissan badge could pull in buyers who wouldn’t consider Renault. It’s also cheap to produce, so Nissan can price it aggressively.

The three-row models are tougher. Segment’s packed. You’ve got the Alcazar, Hector Plus, XUV700, and Safari all fighting for the same families. Unless Renault and Nissan undercut everyone or deliver significantly better features, those will be tougher sells.

The Real Question: Can They Execute?

Renault’s been losing ground for years. Nissan barely registers in sales charts. Five launches sound ambitious, but it means nothing if the pricing’s off or the after-sales network doesn’t improve. Both brands need to prove they’re serious about India again. Products alone won’t fix that.

Still, this is the most aggressive plan either brand has had in half a decade. If even two of these five hit their targets, it changes the conversation.
